Bristol Black Lives Matter protest attracts 1,000 protestors

About 1,000 folks have marched through Bristol in give a boost to of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The demonstration met at the Malcolm X centre in St Pauls, before marching via Stokes Croft into the city centre.

Many chanted “Black Lives Subject” as they marched.

The protest was in line with the fatal shootings of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling by way of police in america.

Bristol get up tweeted: “These Days is the day #Bristol let’s show our love and support”, and said it will be a “peaceful march”.

BBC reporter Scott Ellis mentioned the march had been organised on the ultimate minute through social media and the turnout was a lot larger than anticipated.

“There was a powerful sentiment at the back of it; it’s no longer simply that it happened in the united states, individuals felt the injustice and dissatisfaction of their lives right here,” he stated.

The march follows two separate Black Lives Subject protests in London attended by a whole bunch of people.
