Cardiff attack victim Matthew Sheehan dies after two-year coma

A Man who used to be beaten into a coma following a row over a barking dog has died after two years in Health Facility.

Matthew Sheehan, 36, used to be battered by using neighbour Raymond Burrell in a “severe and cruel” assault in Adamsdown, Cardiff, in September 2015.

Burrell, 40, was once discovered responsible of inflicting grievous bodily hurt in 2016 and jailed for life.

South Wales Police mentioned it was once working with the Crown Prosecution Provider following Mr Sheehan’s death.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman stated: “We Are aware of the sad passing of Matthew Sheehan on Thursday 9 November on the College Medical Institution of Wales, Cardiff.

“The South Wales Police main investigation group is now liaising with Mr Sheehan’s household, the Crown Prosecution Carrier and HM Coroner in recognize of his demise.”

Capturing useless

Burrell’s trial heard Mr Sheehan was once annoyed at Burrell’s pet Staffordshire bull terrier barking from throughout the road.

Mr Sheehan was heard shouting “shut up” and made repeated complaints concerning the late night noise.

This brought on Burrell to assault Mr Sheehan, leaving him with “horrendous injuries to his head and body”.

When Burrell used to be jailed, Mr Sheehan’s father Martin mentioned: “The day Matthew used to be attacked will forever be etched in our memories.

“We spend day by day at his bedside hoping he’s going to recognise us or get higher. All we can do is sit and grasp his hand.”

Burrell up to now served seven years in the back of bars for Taking Pictures dead his 17-yr-old girlfriend, Amie Miles, in 2002.

He admitted manslaughter after saying his gun went off accidentally.
