The Duchess of Cambridge will characteristic on the quilt of British Vogue to mark the journal’s centenary.

Seven images taken within the Norfolk nation-state by way of photographer Josh Olins will appear within the June version.

In her first sitting for a journal, the duchess is considered having a look at ease and sporting informal clothes.

The shoot was once in collaboration with the Nationwide Portrait Gallery, the place two images are being displayed in the Vogue One Hundred: A Century of style exhibition.

The Duchess, who has a keen hobby in pictures, has been customer of the Nationwide Portrait Gallery considering 2012.


Nicholas Cullinan, director of the Nationwide Portrait Gallery, mentioned: “Josh has captured the duchess precisely as she is – Energetic, with a great experience of humour, thoughtful and smart, and in truth, very stunning.”

He stated the images also encapsulated what Vogue had carried out over the past One Hundred years – “to pair the best photographers with the nice personalities of the day, with a purpose to replicate broader shifts in tradition and society”.

Alexandra Shulman, editor-in-chief of British Vogue, said: “So That You Could publish a photographic shoot with the Duchess of Cambridge has been considered one of my best ambitions for the magazine.”

The collaboration had resulted in “a real occasion of our centenary as well as a fitting tribute to a young girl whose hobby in each images and the nation-state is well-known”, she said.

Other royal portraits featured in the style journal include Diana, Princess of Wales – who graced the duvet 4 occasions – and Princess Anne.
