Hertfordshire Police are presently looking Helen Bailey’s Hertfordshire house and a property in Kent

Police attempting to find lacking youngsters’s writer Helen Bailey have arrested A Person on suspicion of murder.

The 51-year-previous creator, who created the Electra Brown sequence for teenagers, was once final seen walking her dog near her house in Royston, Hertfordshire on 11 April.

A Person, Fifty Five, from Royston, is being puzzled on suspicion of homicide, disposing of a body and the theft of Ms Bailey’s cash.

Police are at present looking her dwelling and a property in Broadstairs, Kent.

The Northumberland-born author used to be remaining considered at about 14:45 BST on Monday 11 April.

It Is believed she had left the Royston house she shared with accomplice Ian Stewart and his children, and had taken her miniature dachshund, Boris, for a stroll.

Ms Bailey left a word for her partner, announcing she wanted a while on her personal and was going to remain at their vacation dwelling in Broadstairs.

4 days later Mr Stewart suggested her missing, having travelled to Kent and centered she had now not been there.

‘Merely disappeared’

Hertfordshire Police conducted in depth searches of the native house and checked tons of of hours of CCTV pictures in their efforts to search out Ms Bailey.

Talking a month after she went lacking, Ch Insp Julie Wheatley described it as a “extremely abnormal case” because Ms Bailey “seems to have Simply disappeared”.

There was once no evidence she had tried to contact friends or domestic, used her mobile phone or taken any cash out of financial institution money owed.

Additional searches are now taking place at each homes owned through Ms Bailey and Mr Stewart.
