Jeff Flake: GOP is ‘toast’ if it becomes party of Trump, Moore

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., was caught on a hot mic Friday telling a Republican mayor that “if we turn into the Birthday Party of Roy Moore and Donald Trump, we’re toast.”

Flake made the remark to Mesa, Ariz. Mayor John Giles following a city hall adventure at which Giles had asked Flake about the potential of operating for president in 2020.
