Leonardo De Deus Posts 5th-Best 200 Fly in World; Kaio Almeida Makes 4th Olympics

Brazil could have a pair of swimmers within the Men’s 200-meter fly at the Rio Olympics as neatly.

Leonardo De Deus led the way in which with a 1:Fifty Five.Fifty Four for the win. That swim moved him up to a tie for fifth on the planet with Li Zhuhao.  It also clinched a spot on the Rio Olympic group.

Kaio Almeida, who retired after the 2012 London Olympics completed a successful comeback through making the 2016 squad with a 2d-location 1:56.21.  Almeida also competed within the 2004 and 2008 Olympics after first breaking onto the world scene as an 18 year outdated at the 2003 World Championships.

Vinicius Lanza took 1/3 total in 1:Fifty Seven.44 with Luiz Altamir Melo inserting fourth in 1:57.Seventy Four.

Kaue Da Silva (1:59.Sixty Four), Marcos Oliveira (2:00.56), Arthur Mendes (2:01.46) and Ryosuke Iai (2:02.Sixty Five) also swam tonight.
