M11 closure as lorry overturns in crash near Stansted

Police are warning of “significant disruption” after a lorry overturned and was once left lying on its side on the M11 motorway.

The crash on the northbound carriageway, simply after the junction for Stansted Airport, came about at about 11:00 GMT.

The lorry driver, a man in his 40s, used to be arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Highways England warned the M11 northbound used to be likely to stay closed “late into the night time”.

The lorry’s diesel tank was once leaking gasoline onto the carriageway. No One used to be injured within the collision and no different vehicle used to be concerned.

Traffic heading north on the M11 is being diverted from junction eight onto the A120, A10 and A505 before rejoining the M11 at junction 10.
