Qatar supports maintenance of 43 UNRWA schools in Gaza


During 'Operation Protective Edge', UNRWA schools provided shelter to internally displaced personsThe United Countries Aid and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) mentioned on Thursday it had bought $4.6 million from Qatar to fortify the maintenance and rehabilitation efforts of 43 UNRWA faculties in the Gaza Strip.

The UN Agency mentioned in a observation late on Thursday: “With the generous donation of $Four,612,022 from Al Fakhoura Groundwork-Qatar; the Company will perform upkeep and repair activities across Forty Three UNRWA faculties within the Gaza Strip to help ensure that
Palestine students have a secure, at ease and conducive learning surroundings.”

“All The Way Through and after the summer season hostilities of 2014, 91 of the 257 UNRWA schools served as distinct emergency shelters across the Gaza Strip to soak up 290,000 internally displaced persons. These schools were not designed to operate as shelters, subsequently,
