Utah family of 4 found dead in apparent murder-suicide


A household of four who had recently moved to Utah from Switzerland have been shot to loss of life along with the domestic dog in an apparent murder-suicide, police said Friday.

The bodies of Timothy Griffith, Forty Five, his spouse Jessica Griffith, 42, stepdaughter Samantha Badel, 16, and son Alexendre Griffith, 5, have been found Thursday night time within their home within the northern metropolis of Mapleton, police Chief John Jackson stated. They moved to Utah in July after Timothy Griffith got a job there, he said.

Officers have been called to the house around 9 p.m. after neighbors said that the household had no longer been viewed for days however the lights stayed on and their cars had not moved. One member of the family had not proven as much as work for a number of days, Jackson said.

Jackson said the position of the our bodies inside the home led investigators to believe it was a homicide suicide, but he declined to supply extra information about the scene.

He didn’t provide details about what will have resulted in the killings or how they unfolded. Autopsies might be performed on the our bodies to analyze more about precisely what took place, he mentioned.
