Veteran and his service dog denied entry to Michigan bar


A veteran and his CARRIER DOG have been denied entry to a Michigan bar the day before Veterans Day.

On Friday, Jeremy Smith said he went out along with his fellow Marines in Grand Rapids, Mich., for some food, and then they went for drinks at Holiday Bar.

On The Other Hand, the managers at Vacation Bar would not let Smith or his SERVICE CANINE, Jo-Jo, throughout the establishment.

Smith, who served in Iraq, was once upset over the incident and advised Fox 17 that the bar violated the Americans with Disabilities Act via no longer allowing him in together with his PROVIDER DOG.

Later, the bar responded to the controversy with the aid of posting an apology on their Fb web page.

“We had an extraordinarily unsettling incident late Friday night at our institution that we are ashamed of and very sorry for,” the submit reads.

“Even Though the choices that were that night time had been produced from situation for all involved, it’s clear that the improper decisions have been made. For this we’re deeply sorry, we all know we can’t change what happened but are hopeful we can examine from this,” the apology continues. “We employ males of armed products and services, both energetic and ex, and have nothing but upmost recognize and admiration for them and all that serve.”

The bar also promised to donate 100% of all sales for the day to the Grand Rapids Residence for Veterans.

Smith informed Fox 17 that he hopes this is a lesson to all businesses in terms of CARRIER canines, and that sometimes veterans’ accidents are usually not visible on the surface.
