Washington’s Defending HS State Champs Poised for Success

This weekend Washington will award three highschool state championship titles- at the 2A, 3A, and 4A levels. Psych sheets for all three meets had been released, and all three defending state champions seem to be able to fight for their titles.

2A

Psych Sheet

The staff from Kingston returns because the defending state champions at the 2A degree, and the staff has the highest seed in all three relays. Kingston has the highest two seeds within the 200 IM with Timothy Gallagher and Ethan Fox. Fox is 2nd seed within the One Hundred free in the back of Columbia River’s Rob Mead. Mead also leads the way in which in the 100 backstroke, just beforehand of Gallagher.

Josh Bottelberghe is the defending champion and state document holder within the 200 freestyle and A Hundred breaststroke. The Columbia River senior and Notre Dame commit returns as the top seed in each of these events this 12 months.

The defending champions from Bainbridge Island have the quickest entry time in each of the three relays. The team’s William Waite is top seed within the 200 IM. His teammate Makai Ingalls is second within the A Hundred butterfly in the back of Mercer Island’s James Richardson. Jude Wenker, a Bainbridge Island sophomore, leads the way within the 100 freestyle and is third in the 200 freestyle. His junior teammate Kevin Houseman has the quickest time within the One Hundred breaststroke.

Last year’s defending champion, Camas, has just one relay high seed- in the 200 freestyle relay. The team from Kamiak leads the way in which within the 200 medley relay and the Four Hundred freestyle relay.

Olympia senior Alexander Wright has the highest time within the 200 and 500 freestyle. Camas’ senior Mark Kim is 2nd within the 200 free and 0.33 in the 500 free. Camas has every other 2nd seed- junior Eric Wu in the 200 IM. Jackson’s Jonathan Cook has the fastest time within the 200 IM and One Hundred breaststroke.

Glacier Park’s Matthew King leads the way in which in the 50 freestyle through virtually a second. He’s additionally high seed in the 100 freestyle. Hanford’s Skyler Younkin has the quickest entry within the One Hundred butterfly. Kyle Millis, a senior from Issaquah, has the quickest 100 backstroke time.
