'Willy Wonka' film star Peter Ostrum will visit, meet fans in Seneca Falls



This year marks the Forty Fifth anniversary of the 1971 ?lm, “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Manufacturing Facility,” starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka.

In Response To the liked 1964 novel “Charlie and the Chocolate Manufacturing Facility” through Roald Dahl, the story follows younger Charlie Bucket who wins a Golden Ticket to Visit Willy Wonka’s well-known chocolate Factory along with four other kids.

Peter Ostrum, who portrayed Charlie in the ?lm, will Visit the Gould Resort (108 Fall St.) in Seneca Falls on Thursday, April 21.

The Seneca Community Gamers have invited Significant New Yorkers to come and meet Ostrum, who will provide a presentation, Q&A session, sign autographs and take images (SCP suggests a donation of $5).

There Is Not Any charge to attend the adventure. Doorways will open at 6 p.m., and attendees can experience a chocolate buffet donated through native businesses. 

Ostrum if truth be told lives in Upstate ny as of late. He turned down a three-movie deal after “Willy Wonka” and now works as a vet that specialize in dairy cattle and horses in Lowville, about 85 miles north of Syracuse.

“All And Sundry might be so lucky to have an experience like this and then to go in a fully different direction,” mentioned Ostrum, in a syracuse.com interview.

Ostrum’s look will kick off SCP’s upcoming Auction Theater adventure on Could Thirteen, when all roles for the musical manufacturing of Roald Dahl’s “Willy Wonka” (July 15-17), can be auctioned. The best possible bidders win the roles.
