The Driver of a Ford Fiesta died on the scene and her passenger suffered minor injuries

A 70-yr-old Woman has been killed in successful-and-run crash with a stolen automobile which had failed to stop for police moments earlier.

The Lady used to be driving a Ford Fiesta on the A24 in Horsham, West Sussex.

Another 70-12 months-outdated Girl, who was once a passenger, used to be injured in the crash on the Farthing Hill roundabout simply ahead of 14:30 GMT on Friday.

The Driving Force of the Fiesta used to be said dead at the scene, police mentioned.

A black Mercedes AMG used to be believed to had been taken throughout a burglary in Goring-via-Sea, and was seen leaving the services on the A24 along with a stolen A Class Mercedes.

Both vehicles failed to forestall for police, and at 14:23 the A Class left the road and crashed into a hedge. The Driver ran off and was once caught through officers rapidly afterwards.

The Other Mercedes carried on, but was once not being adopted through police when it crashed with the Fiesta simply over 10 minutes later, a Sussex Police spokesman said.

Officers with dogs, and a police helicopter failed to find the missing Mercedes following the crash.

Det Insp Will Rolis stated: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish The Driver who ran from the scene after crashing in to the Ford Fiesta. We imagine he tried to flag down a lift from close to the fatal crash scene minutes later.”

An 18-12 months-old man from Feltham in West London has been arrested on suspicion of housebreaking.

The Impartial Police Complaints Fee has been knowledgeable and any witnesses are requested to come ahead.
