Zimbabwe: War Veterans Leader Matemadanda Arrested

ZIMBABWE Liberation Conflict Veterans Association (ZNLWVA) secretary -basic, Victor Matemadanda, has become the second liberation Battle fighter to be picked up after police arrested spokesperson, Douglas Mahiya, on Wednesday.

True to President Robert Mugabe’s risk that he would care for the “rogue” Struggle veterans whom he stated have been the authors of a ZNLWVA verbal exchange which denounced him as a “genocidal dictator” remaining week, Mahiya was picked up Wednesday evening while the police ransacked his home.

The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR), stated Matemadanda was early Thursday picked up by five police officers from his Gokwe home and driven to Harare’s Regulation and Order.

In Step With the Lawyers, both Mahiya and Matemadanda is often charged with subverting a constitutionally-elected government and insulting Mugabe.

Addressing tons of of supporters on the Zanu PF HQ on Wednesday, Mugabe vowed that those answerable for the “treasonous” conversation can be dealt with in the method through which “traitors” were handled all through the War.
